Studio Course Second Project Development

Project description: to design 3 pairs of letter Ls in the game Minecraft.

This is the concept of my first design, I name it The Shrine. 

It consists of two L shaped structures, each of which depicts the word "architecture" in four different languages, namely English, Chinese, Russian, and Japanese.

This design is inspired by Japanese Toriis, Toriis are structures that are placed on the pathways to Japanese Shinto temples.

Steps of the making process:
I printed out pages and pages of grid paper and did my pixelation process of the four words on them.

I didn't went ahead and construct my design in Minecraft immediately after my first draft. Rather, I built a 3D model using Rhino. Aside than the first picture in this post, which is the perspective drawing, here are some other 2D line works:
